First and Goal, Inc.

First and Goal, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization, whose mission is to provide the necessary tools, support, and resources for youth that will enrich, equip and empower them to be effective members of society. Established In 1999 by former National Football League (NFL) players, Tyrone Smith of the San Francisco 49ers, Derrick Harris of the San Diego Chargers, and Darnell Walker of the San Francisco 49ers, the purpose of First and Goal, Inc. is to provide a unique service in which youth will obtain resources to enhance academic, social and moral development.

First and Goal, Inc. was awarded an ASI Residency Funding Grant by CASE, Cooperative for After-School Enrichment - Harris County Department of Education for the spring and summer 2008. The program at Kandy Stripe Academy focused on leadership, character education, youth violence prevention and community outreach.
